A dry manicure or "smart" pedicure is a highly technical, waterless service. Traditional salons soak the nails in water, which swells the nail plate and leads to premature gel chipping. By performing the service completely dry, we maintain the firm, natural architecture of the nail. This allows our technicians to safely and meticulously detail the cuticle area using advanced e-file techniques, resulting in exceptionally clean work, flawless gel application, and beautifully refined nails.

2. Why do clients prefer these advanced dry techniques?

The results are significantly more precise, refined, and longer-lasting than a standard salon service. Because the skin remains stable and the nail plate isn't waterlogged, we can apply structured gel or color much closer to the cuticle line. This "tucked" application creates a flawless, editorial-style finish and extends the life of your manicure, hiding regrowth for much longer.

3. What is the European e-file cuticle technique?

This is a modern, meticulous method using specialized, diamond-bit e-file tools to gently exfoliate, lift, and smooth the cuticle area without aggressive cutting. It creates a beautifully clean, naturally elongated nail edge. This technique is the cornerstone of authentic Russian and Ukrainian nail artistry, perfect for clients who demand a pristine, zero-compromise finish.

4. Is the dry e-file technique suitable for sensitive skin?

Absolutely. When performed by highly trained specialists, dry techniques are actually gentler than traditional pushing and snipping. The e-file allows for micro-precise, controlled exfoliation that is customized to your exact skin type. The process avoids the harsh chemical softeners used in traditional salons, making it ideal for clients with delicate cuticles or sensitive skin.

5. Do you use safe, sanitized tools?

Always. Your health and safety are our highest priorities. Every metal tool is rigorously disinfected with medical-grade sterilization (CS20/AHP) and remains sealed in sterile pouches until the exact moment your service begins. Any file, buffer, or implement that cannot be medically sterilized is strictly single-use and discarded immediately after your appointment.

6. How often should I book my appointments?

Because of the deep cuticle preparation and structured application, our clients enjoy significantly longer wear times. Most clients return every 3 to 4 weeks for manicures, and every 4 to 5 weeks for dry pedicures. The seamless regrowth means your nails will look clean and fresh much longer than a traditional manicure.

7. What services do you offer instead of acrylic, dip, or bio-gel?

At RE:SET, we focus exclusively on modern, damage-free nail enhancements. Instead of harsh acrylics or dated bio-gel, our primary specialty is Dual Form Extensions and Structured Hard Gel or Soft Gel (BIAB) overlays.

Dual Forms represent the cutting edge of nail architecture. Rather than using traditional glued-on tips, Dual Forms allow us to custom-sculpt flawless, lightweight, and incredibly durable extensions using hard gel.

8. Is gel removal included in my service?

Standard soft gel removal is complimentary with our Signature or higher-level manicures. However, if you currently have thicker enhancements—such as acrylic, hard gel, BIAB, bio-gel, Gel-X, or extensions—you must book the dedicated Removal Add-On so we have the proper time to safely e-file the old product off.

9. Do you offer refills on extensions or overlays?

Yes, we offer refills on Dual Form Extensions, Hard Gel Overlays, and BIAB Overlays—exclusively for sets originally applied at RE:SET. To guarantee product compatibility, structural integrity, and flawless results, we do not refill work performed at other salons. If you currently have product from elsewhere, please book a Removal Add-On with your new full set.
